Until late 2000, my yoga consisted of various
wanderings along this or that path, yoga here, yoga
there, my own practice with nothing particularly
consistent. Late in 2000, due to an ankle injury
from running, I turned to yoga as a way to move and
connect more fully to my own body. Suddenly my
practice became regular, consistent, and more
fulfilling. I discovered Anusara Yoga upon my
return to Tucson in the fall of 2003. Because of
the wonder and joy this practice brought to me, I
pursued becoming a teacher just so I can share the
flow of grace this movement brings.
I am an Anusara Inspired™ yoga instructor. I have taken Yoga Therapy training from John Friend and Bruce Bowditch, both well versed and well known for their therapeutic applications. My main teachers are Darren Rhodes and John Friend, but for frequent connections and questions I have wonderful teachers/mentors like Rachelle Cohen, Elizabeth Little and Bruce Bowditch. I have taught yoga since January of 2006 and teach in Tubac, Rio Rico and Tucson.
